The 15,000m2 Dublin Store is in Dublin’s principal shopping area, Grafton Street. The store is the chain’s flagship location. This flagship store consists of six levels over a basement of international designer retail space. It is part of the global retail family which includes Selfridges in the UK, Hold Renfrew in Canada and de Bijenkorf in Holland.
NLCE have been involved over many years in supplying multi-million Euro refurbishment and upgrade works to Brown Thomas stores around Ireland. This included a €10 million luxury refurbishment to the Women’s Department on Level 2 and €1.5 million investment into the Lingerie Department.
In addition to traditional M&E advisory services, we have been involved in providing strategic sustainability advice around reducing the energy, carbon, waste and water consumption footprints of the brand and setting out strategic roadmaps for improvements and environmental business cases for these programmes.
Brown Thomas have also been very forward in their energy efficiency efforts. The company is expected to save €1 million across their five Irish stores by 2021.
