As part of the PPP Primary Health Care build Kilcock Primary Care Centre has reached service commencement status. This is one of 5 Primary Care sites within the bundle that Noel Lawler Consulting Engineers were appointed as design-build M&E consultants. Other sites include Carrick on Suir, Dungarvan, Waterford, Wexford all of which are due to open later this year.
Kilcock Primary Care will take the strain off the hospital system by providing community-based care. The services provided include outpatient consultants, GP surgeries, wound treatment, community nursing, mental health services, physiotherapy services, to name a few.
NLCE designed this building to BIM level 2 standards which will allow the HSE reap the benefits of integrating it into their FM providers system. The building is predominantly naturally ventilated and achieves an A3 BER rating. A sedum roof adds to the green credential of the building.
The M&E services are designed with full flexibility to allow varying operating hours for all department within the building. This prevents energy wastage in the overall building. The BMS and energy monitoring systems monitor all M&E systems and reports to a central server that can be accessed remotely by the FM providers.
