Teagasc, the Agriculture and Food Development Authority, is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.

Their new building in Moorepark, Co. Cork required full mechanical works including a heating and AC refurbishment and a centralised freezer/ cryogenic storage facility. The ventilation and AC system in the laboratories were also upgraded.

Up to this time, chilled beams, low velocity ventilation schemes and air movement had been causing test sample contamination problems. Mixed mode ventilation for the cryogenic/ freezer storage were then introduced to reduce risk to valuable research samples.

NLCE have carried out works in Teagasc offices in Carlow, Waterford, Mullinavat, Wexford, Athenry and Clonskeagh.
